Her body was so tightly pressed up against him, he felt her heartbeat, a distant sound, like a lullaby one would listen to when they were a child and then re-discover in their 30's. In some senses she was so close yet so far. Words couldn't leave his mouth they dried and hid behind his tongue. Tension kept him grounded, unable to move, he didn't even know why. She felt the heat fall over her face as they landed his body weight up against her; he gripped onto the sheets, his fingers tightened against the material.
